Reorganized 31/10/07 as a subsidiary of state-owned Libyiah Afriqiyah Aviation Holding Company (along Afriqiyah AL). Tobe merged with Afriqiyah Airlines (announced 21/9/10, approval expected on 15/10/10, to be completed in 11/10 but undefinitely postponed). All aircraft grounded 17/3/11 after UN resolution calling for a no-fly zone; until the end of the civil war. Will move HQ to Benghazi during 2014. Added on EU ban list on 11/12/14.
