Deutsche Bank's share increased to 8.11% in 5/07,18.8% in 7/07. 29.99% acquired 9/07 by Thomas Cook (against a controlling stake in Condor). 15.41% acquired in 12/07 byVatas Holding GmbH (Berlin-based investment firm headed by London/South Africa Rob Hersov; later 18.6% hold by Harlem One; resold 4/4/08 to German financial institution), 3.1% acquired in 1/08 by Kamal Abdullah S Bahamdan, Saudi Arabia (KBGroup Holdings) through Moab Investments. 18.94% acquired in 5/08 by Len Blavatnik (through Al Aviation Cooperatief UA), Russia but resold in 1/09 to unidentified parties (including 15.3% to Turkey's Sabanci family through their ESAS Holding, also owner of Pegasus Airlines). 19.9% share exchange with TUI announced 4/09, abandonned 9/09 due to objection fromGerman anti-cartel authorities; only 9.9% purchased by TUI (through Leibniz-Service) in 10/09, reduced to 3.9% in 9/14, to 0% in 7/15. Joined OneWorld alliance (announced 26/7/10, effective 20/3/12). Etihad Airways share increased from 2.99% to 29.21% for €73m in 12/11, to 49.9% in 3/14 with additional financial support injected in 2017 (totalling a $2b+ total exposure). Filed for bankrupcy on 15/8/17 after Etihad decision to stop funding; continuing operations with a €150m bridge loan from the German government. Shut down on 27/10/17. Trade name sold in 8/23 to Marcos Rosello, founder of Sundair.
