Formed by Sergei V. Ilyushin as a small Design group within the Central Design Bureau. Reorganized 1994 by Ilyushin Design Bureau (20%), Voronezh plant (11%), Russian state (51%); Tashkent plant (Uzbekistan) to join later, forming IlyushinAeronautical Complex. Transaero and GAALK should join at a later date. Created leasing subsidiary Ilyushin Finance Co in 1999. Expected to be merged with Tupolev, MiG and Sukhoi - forming Unified Aircraft Corp - from 3/2006.
